Bi-Annual Replacement of Sewer and Water Facilities - City of Pleasanton, CA

The City of Pleasanton retained Pakpour Consulting Group in 2005 and again in 2007 to provide design services for the replacement of water and sewer facilities throughout the City. In total 7,000 linear feet of water main and 9,865 linear feet of sewer main were replaced. Due to funding restraints, the City of Pleasanton elected to accelerate the project delivery period, reducing the design time from 4.5 months to 3.5 months. Pakpour Consulting Group delivered the final project plans, specifications and cost estimate 2 weeks ahead of the accelerated schedule due date and only 13 weeks from receiving the notice to proceed for the design of the project. Our staff worked closely with subconsultants and utility companies to meet this rapid schedule. Pakpour Consulting Group met the accelerated schedule by leveraging the information provided by the City, such as base maps, CCTV reports and survey information, and performing the elements of the design concurrently with the review process.
During the design process, Pakpour Consulting Group worked closely with the City performing public outreach and attending public meetings.
