Steven joined us in 2015 after two decades in municipal government delivering various public works infrastructure and parks projects. He currently leads our program/construction management and inspection team, providing services for public agencies and special districts.
He is driven to serve communities that we all call home and strives to make a difference in improving and maintaining our community infrastructure and facilities. Born and raised in the small town of Lodi, CA, he stayed local to attend California State University-Sacramento for his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. With a passion for public service and professional development, he served on the executive committee of the Northern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association which culminated as Chapter President in 2009. He continued his education in 2010 as part of the Senior Executives in Local and State Government Program at Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education. This led him to obtain his Master in Public Administration degree in 2016 with an emphasis in organizational theory and management.
He takes great joy traveling for new experiences and good food with his family of girls – wife, Cindy, and his two daughters, Lauren and Alyssa. As the world opened for travel after the pandemic, his family visited nine different European countries experiencing new sights, meeting new friends, and tasting local cuisine along the way. His favorite destination remains the Hawaiian Islands for the warm ocean water, fine beach sand and picturesque sunsets and may retire there someday!
He cherishes building and maintaining relationships at home, in the office and with our clients. He always looks forward to the next meeting, event, or gathering where he can share stories and experiences with others. He is drawn to good laughs and thought-provoking discussions about the next great idea or invention. He fully embraces our company core values of family, fun, and quality in guiding his life journey of making each and every day count.
