PAKPOUR CONSULTING GROUP AS CONTRACT DISTRICT ENGINEEERS

PLEASANTON, CA, Nov. 29, 2004 — The Purissima Hills and Skyline County Water Districts have retained Pakpour Consulting Group, Inc. (www.pcgengr.com) as Contract District Engineers. Joubin Pakpour, P.E. president of Pakpour Consulting Group, made the announcement.

Pakpour Consulting Group will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Districts’ distribution hydraulic model in WaterCAD®, engineering drawings and standard plans and specifications, and will provide recommendations on all components of the Districts’ distribution system. Once projects are identified, Pakpour Consulting Group will prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates and assist the Districts during bidding and construction phases. Pakpour Consulting Group will also review subdivision and residential development plans for conformance to the Districts’ standard plans and specifications.

The Purissima Hills Water District is located in the Town of Los Altos Hills, CA, approximately 35 miles south of San Francisco. The District, with an operating budget of $3.93 million, serves potable water to 5,800 customers, about two-thirds of the Town. According to Patrick Walter, the District‘s General Manager, Pakpour Consulting Group will be responsible for all aspects of the District‘s engineering as well as serving as a resource to District staff and board members.

The Skyline County Water District was established in 1954. Located in the center of San Mateo County, the District serves a residential community with a population of approximately 1,650. The District‘s service area consists of about 17 square miles including a portion of the Town of Woodside (about 25 miles south of San Francisco) and unincorporated areas of San Mateo County along State Route (SR) 35 –Skyline Boulevard –from State Route 84 – Woodside Road to State Route –92. The District has an annual operating budget of $907,000.

Tammy Hannon, General Manager, said Pakpour Consulting Group is currently designing and providing bid services and construction support for replacing about 2,300 linear feet of distribution line along Ware Road and Skyline Blvd.

“The Ware Road Area Project replaces an integral part of the distribution system along Skyline Blvd in the shadows of the Majestic Redwoods,” Hannon said. “It will be highly visible to customers and challenges typical construction methods due to its location in the Skyline Scenic Corridor. Pakpour Consulting Group has been extremely proactive in dealing with Caltrans and other construction challenges during the design phase.”
