Kurt joined us in 2009 after nearly a decade and a half in the private sector working on land development projects throughout the greater Bay Area. He is another San Jose State University alumnus addition to the Pakpour Consulting Group family with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and minor in Physics.  As a Senior Engineer he is a mentor to our younger associates sharing his vast design knowledge. Kurt first started using AutoCAD (Release 12) in 1996 when it was on a “MS-DOS” platform. His favorite release is still “14”…In addition to providing plan check support services for our various clients he also enjoys working synergistically with two other associates (Feraydoon Jahanian-Farsi and David Dong) on capital improvement projects for our Water District and various local agency clients. Kurt is the 2018 Past President of the Silicon Valley chapter of the American Public Works Association.  He has been a Director at the chapter since 2010 allowing him to give back to our industry and community over the years via the various Committees.

He enjoys spending time with his wife, Deedra, being a foster parent to their three rescue cats, and supportive Son to his aging “Traditionalist Generation” parents.  Both Dee and Kurt are very honored to have been born and raised in San Francisco and enjoy exploring local Bay Area diamond-in-the-rough experiences. Outside of the work week Kurt is also known for riding vintage mountain bikes, practicing yoga for 20+ years, supporting Dee’s passion for Karaoke, and collecting the 1960s inspired “Derby of San Francisco” tradesman jacket worn by his father. When asked what he likes about working at Pakpour Consulting Group, his response was the list would be too long to include here; however, I’ll try to keep it short…“our new “Strategic House,” honoring our core value of having fun together, small family office culture, lunchtime boot-camp organized by our Office Manager (Maria Kwon), and bike riding with his colleagues.”
